Opening of Derby Station extension

Pauline joined a group of local celebrities, including Nigel Clough and Tom Glick, manager and president of Derby County Football Club, to open the platform extension at Derby station. The extension includes improved first class lounge facilities, better disabled access, and better lifts, which will help those with heavy cases.

Speaking afterwards, Pauline said:
"As well as servicing the many existing travellers to and from Derby, the city is increasingly becoming a centre or meeting place for businesses who like Derby’s central location. The refurbished station is a step forward in that it is much brighter and more modern looking. As well as being a better experience for the passengers, it gives a much better impression of Derby to first time and regular visitors."
