Street Briefing with local Police officer and PCSO

Pauline attended a 'Street Briefing' yesterday with police, a local PCSO and residents outside Stanley Common CofE Primary School on Belper Road.

Street Briefings are a great opportunity for police and PCSOs to meet with local residents so that they are able to gather information of where local problems are occurring.

This is something they have found very successful because they are engaging with the community whereas if the public just have a phone number they don’t hear about everything that is going on. This type of event can actually deliver bits of intelligence that can add to knowledge already in their minds and can result in crimes being solved.
