Pauline Latham visits Briar Close House Residential Home and talks with Staff and Residents

On Tuesday 24th March Pauline went to visit Briar Close House Residential Home in Borrowash. This provided Pauline with the opportunity to meet the staff and listen to their concerns and also to meet with some of the residents and talk about their experiences living in the Home. Some of the concerns raised were the difficulties residential homes have with bureaucracy and the challenges faced in recruiting staff.
Pauline said ‘What a wonderfully happy place it is with very caring staff and wonderful residents. The staff work very hard to make living at Briar Close House as pleasant as possible and organise trips for the residents. The most recent one was to Skegness which the residents that I spoke to really enjoyed.’
