Project Uganda Updates

It was a busy week for the Project Uganda Team as they continued their fund raising efforts and saw the official launch of their website.
On Saturday 18th April the team were raising money at the Café Church at St John’s Methodist Church in Allestree.
Pauline said, ‘Another successful fund raising event for Project Uganda. The setting of the Café Church appealed to all age groups from single pensioners, who regularly come for the company, to young children and their parents, with live music performed by local children. A good time was had by all. The Church was very welcoming, especially the Vicar Helen Watson. It not only helped raise money it helped raise the profile of our cause.’
On Monday 20th April the Project Uganda website launch went ahead at Woodlands School, Allestree.
Pauline said, ‘It was good to finally officially launch the website. Although it has been receiving a lot of positive attention before this, the launch was important to further raise the profile of the Project Uganda cause. The launch also highlighted the video showing last years visit to Uganda and why we are going out there again.’
