Fact finding visit in the Middle East
25th September 2009
During the Summer Pauline visited Israel and Palestine which gave her the opportunity to see for herself some of the issues, which are reported on so frequently in the press.
As well as seeing some of the homes in Israel, which are threatened by missile attacks, she visited an area for refugees and met with a Palestinian Government minister, hearing his perspective on the situation.
“We heard both sides of the story, which I found useful” said Pauline. “It was an illuminating trip and it makes it much more real when you have seen some of the places. I feel that I am much better informed than before about a very complicated political situation.”
