PPC’s meeting with Bahraini Ambassador to UK

Pauline met with His Excellency Shaikh Khalifa Bin Ali Bin Rashid Al-Khalifa, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the United Kingdom at the Ambassador's London resident on 28th October.
The meeting was an excellent opportunity for a first-hand briefing about the Middle East and the role played by Bahrain. Bahrain has a unique perspective in the area, being one of very few parliamentary democracies in the region.
Speaking afterwards, Pauline said:
“Meeting the Ambassador and his staff meant that I was able to learn first hand what the views were of the Ambassador about their relations with Britain. They have copied our Parliamentary system of a lower and an upper house which they have found very successful.”
