Pauline Latham endorses the Derby Evening Telegraph campaign for Bombardier

Pauline Latham and the Conservative candidate for Derby North, Stephen Mold, met with the editor of the Derby Evening Telegraph, Steve Hall, to officially endorse the DET’s campaign for Bombardier. This campaign has been launched to push for the Transport Minister, Geoff Hoon, to reverse his decision to award a multi-million pound contract to a Japanese train company over the Derby-based Bombardier, at a time when keeping local jobs is essential.

Pauline said ‘The Derby Evening Telegraph have run a very effective campaign, one that we all hope will lead to a change in Geoff Hoon’s decision. When Stephen and I meet with the MD of Bombardier in April we will be telling him we will be lobbying on their behalf for future contracts.’
