Monday, 16 March, 2020

Coronavirus Update from Spondon Bakery:

Our shop in Spondon village will remain open even if others close eg. If shopping centres close.

As well as our shop number 01332 678366 which is manned Thurs-Sat you can call 07927932586 ANY day to find out about our products and place an order.

Customers can come to our village Shop as usual. In addition orders can be placed over the phone and collected or delivered.

If shopping for yourself, a family member or a neighbour who is unwell you can still come to our Bakery or place an order via the phone. Phone beforehand to let us know you or the person you are shopping for maybe infectious. You can pay remotely or via contact less. You must not enter our shop. You will pick up your order from the rear Bakery door in our car park.

We have stock. We continue to bake every day. We will serve all our customers in a safe way.

All our staff have had extensive training in food Hygiene and specifically in procedures to prevent cross contamination.

We have an extensive range of Bread, Sweet and Savoury products, pasties, Cakes, Biscuits, Greek Patisserie, Jam Marmalade & Chutney, Cheese and much more.

No-one will go hungry as Vagelis has experience of catering for the army whilst doing his national service in Greece!

For those feeling isolated, please message us or post online.

Please pass our contact details to family, friends and neighbours.

It is safer to #shoplocal to where you live and from producers that make their own products.

As the virus spreads YOU need to travel less, avoid public transport and areas with many people (shopping centres and supermarkets).
Items less likely to be contaminated ie. those that have not travelled extensively or come into contact with many different hands.
