Pauline Latham OBE MP had a meeting at Treetops Hospice on Monday 4th June to hear about their plans for the future and were pleased that they had signed the Dying to Work Charter.

Pauline Latham MP attends event to promote stem cell donations

Last week Pauline Latham attended an event in Parliament which was to raise awareness of stem cell donations, especially for those from Asian or other ethnic minority backgrounds, who can find it particularly difficult to find matches.

Pauline Latham welcomes the introduction of Ivory Bill

Pauline Latham OBE MP, who is a long time campaigner against the Ivory trade, welcomes the Ivory Bill, which is to be introduced to Parliament today.  This legislation will be the toughest in Europe and indeed one of the toughest in the world.

Belper Arts Festival

I was fascinated to read on this website of the Heritage Lottery Fund’s support for the wonderful Belper Arts Festival and its part in marking the First World War centenary.

The £4,800 has enabled an exhibition IN WARTIME 1917-1922 to go ahead in Belper.

Defibrillator Awareness Day

In April, I hosted a Defibrillator Awareness Day at the Strutts Community Centre in Belper. This was extremely well attended by constituents, representatives from schools, businesses and local organisations.

Pauline Latham OBE MP visits Duffield Scouts at their Scout Hut

On Wednesday April 11th Pauline Latham, MP, was handed a petition supporting more funding for Mental Health Services by Duffield Scouts [Wednesday troop] at their Scout Hut. This was organised as part of the national Scout “Million Hands” community project.
