Speaking in the Budget debate, Pauline Latham welcomes the emergency Budget and raises the issue of the listed places of worship grant scheme, urging the Chancellor to continue the scheme after its current scheduled finish date of March 2011.

Pauline makes her maiden speech in the House of Commons and she pays tribute to the four MPs who represented parts of the new Mid Derbyshire constituency in the last Parliament. Pauline Latham has teamed up with ITV’s This Morning celebrity GP, Dr Chris Steele MBE, to support this year’s Carers Week (14 - 20 June) and celebrate the contribution made by people in Mid Derbyshire and throughout the UK, who provide unpaid care for someone who is ill, frail or disabled.
