Business Questions takes place every Thursday in the House of Commons Chamber, and is always a good opportunity for MPs to ask for debates on important local issues.
This week, I thanked the Transport Secretary for his work helping to secure Alstom’s future, but I also asked about the future of Great British Rail’s headquarters. It has been just over a year since Derby was chosen as the new location for the HQ, something for which I and other local MPs had been campaigning very hard.
GBR have moved into a temporary site now and are working with Derby City Council to find a permanent location. I continue to follow this very closely to ensure a permanent site is found sooner rather than later.
