I enjoyed attending the official opening of Belper Rugby Club’s new extension this summer with club chair Jackie Dyer and Rugby Football Union president Nigel Gillingham.

I was pleased to pay a visit to Slenderella this summer who were awarded the title of Best Small family Business in the Midlands Best Family Business awards.

This summer, it was great to see the Ukrainian Youth Centre’s Summer Camp open day and meet parents and children having a fabulous experience.

The camp gives Ukrainian children aged 3 to 17 the opportunity to be immersed in Ukrainian culture and language for six-weeks.

Recently I was pleased to visit the NHS Derbyshire Healthcare Foundation Trust and meet with new Chief Executive Mike Powell. I was shown a virtual tour of Derby’s new acute Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) being built alongside Kingsway Hospital.

I was pleased to officially open Greenstone’s new Belper shop this month. Greenstones’ new shop will offer cobbler and locksmith services and sell high quality men’s shoes, socks, and watch straps. It was great to meet with George who runs the shop and his apprentice Patrick.

Last weekend, I enjoyed visiting this year’s Oakfest with local Conservative Councillors, Freya Trewhella and Matthew Eyre.
